Your data in Bashidrum

This notice says what Bashidrum, your drum practice planner, keeps about you, why, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to get a copy or have it deleted.

Bashidrum is run by Essex Drum School, which is responsible for your data. Questions or requests: the address on the sign-in screen

What is stored

Listen mode uses the microphone only while it is listening to a run, on your device; no sound is recorded or sent anywhere.

Why it is kept

To run the app for you: to sign you in, plan your practice, show your levels and progress, and show the Leaderboard. The optional details below help make the app yours. Nothing is kept for any other reason.

Optional details (Settings, About you)

In Settings (the gear at the top), you can add any of these. Every one is optional, and the app works the same without them:

They are kept private: they never appear on the Leaderboard or to other players.

The recovery email is used only for sign-in help: if you tap Forgot password? or Forgot username? on the sign-in screen, a link to choose a new password, or your username, is sent to it. It is never used for anything else, such as news or marketing. The other details are yours to change.

Suggestions and problem reports

Settings also has Suggest or report, for sending us an idea or telling us something is broken. We read every one. With each message the app adds the tab you were on, the app version and the time, so we can find the problem. Other players cannot see what you send.

Nothing else is kept. No address, no phone number, no photos.

Who can see it

You can take yourself off the Leaderboard at any time with the switch on the Leaderboard tab. Then other players see nothing of yours.

Where it is kept

The records are held by Supabase, the database service Bashidrum runs on. Supabase stores the data for us and does not use it for anything else. The app itself is served through Cloudflare. A copy of your own record (and the last Leaderboard) is also kept on your device so the app works offline; signing out removes it.

How long it is kept

For as long as your account is open. When an account is closed, its sign-in, practice record, details and suggestions are all deleted. The copy on your device goes when you sign out.

What is not done with it

No advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.

Getting a copy, or having it changed or deleted

To remove any of the optional details, open Settings, About you, clear the fields and tap Save; they are gone straight away. For anything else, email the address on the sign-in screen and say what you would like: a copy of everything held about you, something corrected, or your account and everything in it deleted.
